My first mag is growing and doing great and about a foot wide.

second mag is still recovering from its bleaching event but is gaining more color everyday. Hope it returns to it’s bright green color!

Would love to find a green tenticals purple tip one.

here are my current two. I find them to be noticeably sensitive to ph. When i’m in the 8.3+ range they take on a lot more water and really puff out and look robust. Where as where I am now 7.9-8.1 they look a bit anemic in comparison.

Interesting observation on the PH. Mine is always < 8.0. I find my Mag requires feeding. Maybe the light intensity is not enough it needs energy from food. If not fed for a few days it basically shrinks in size. After feeding it looks happy every time. Unfortunately the tang and especially the cleaner wrasse steal food from it so always a struggle to feed.

That’s interesting. I’ve never seen a mag that needed to eat to remain healthy, and it should be healthy and sticky enough that fish can’t steal food from it. Increasing the light intensity may help

When I got my two mags. (From the same place) One required feeding the other didn’t they behaved differently as well. One stretched more to capture a larger amount of light while the others tentacles were much stickier (almost carpet sticky) over time the one I fed more caught up in size and now they both behave somewhat similarly.

I got mine from LFS which brings in different kind of nems. These are not always available but if ask them they can give you an idea.
