Hi all,

I have a magnificent foxface going through TTM at the moment. I think he fell asleep near the wavemaker and pulling away scraped himself pretty good. . It might also be the result of a burn from the heater, not sure. A small part of the saddle area is white (should be black) and has a bit of stringy flesh hanging from it but the scrape looks superficial. It should heal but I want to avoid infection. He does not seem distressed (no camouflaging, fast breathing of flashing around) but he's not going after food too enthusiastically and moves around very slowly.

Unfortunately meds for fish in Australia are limited due to regulations so most antibiotic are out. I have the following meds that I think should be useful but wanted to get some advice about how to use them, what order, incorporating them in to the TTM process etc. I have -

Blue Planet Multicure (Methylene Blue, Malachite Green and Acryflavin) and Blue Planet Trisulfa.

Thanks!

I don't think it is brooklynella from what I have seen but I will post pics tonight just to be sure.

Photo from a couple of minutes ago. It looks shredded.

I would do a 90 min acriflavin bath as an antiseptic. Doesn’t look like brook but definitely something to watch.

FWIW I did a tank transfer last night and dosed the tank with trisulfa as per the directions. I will wait and see.
