Main Drain Pipe Broken, Redsea Reefer 250

Guys,

I screwed up. I was upgrading my sump and broke the pipe that goes into the stock Redsea valve and I need a replacement STAT. What can I do to plumb from the bulkhead to a standard US valve? I know the RedSea stuff is metric and I've tried several things.

Currently, my tank isn't getting any flow beyond my gyres and a couple of airstones...

Please HELP!!!

have you tried buying pvc, do you have a picture?

Metric to standard pvc, but finding one STAT probably won't be easy. BRS sells them. Or call redsea, but probably no help till tomorrow.

Is it a drain or return? If a drain, you could just put an oversized pvc around it until you get the parts.

Or if its a break that has enough space you could use a small no-hub from Home Depot, I'm sue you can find something at a plumbing store thats open on Sunday

Currently that's what I have. A piece of 2 inch propped up over it while I prowl the plumbing aisles looking for a temporary solution.

Any ideas what adapter I'd need? Does redsea sell threaded to slip fittings?

You'll probably have to order slip x slip and then add threaded after/before. I think the no hub coupling is a good idea, or even some hose/clamps if there's enough room to get you by.

Thanks guys. I definitely panicked a bit. Gonna see what I can find in the local plumbing stores and rig something up a bit better than a propped up pipe that'll last until I can order parts.

Panicked, but certainly feeling better about it now.

So it turns out that Ace has 1 1/4 threaded to slip fittings that thread right onto the stock pipes. Bought two of them and some reducers along with 1" gate valve and I am back in business. It's not overly elegant but it certainly works and it got the new sump up and running. Thanks again for all the help.

Any chance you have a pic of the piece that saved the day? I'm trying to get from stock thread out the back without cutting or drilling the stand and it's very close. A 1" street TEE will slide into the threaded plastic but it's certainly not ideal.
