Hi,

After a normal maintenance the water pump is not working. it only works when I help push some water thru it. I am not sure if I properly installed the impeller.. Anyone can help so I can get my aquarium to work? It's only 6 months old...

Does the black "cap" goes at the bottom or top?

Can you spin the impeller (with the pump off)? Does the impeller spin when you power it up?

There is usually a little cap on both ends. Often when you take them apart, the inside cap stays inside. Look in the shaft with a light to see if it's in there. If not, check your sink or wherever you cleaned it.

I know this doesn't help you now, but having a backup pump ready to go is some inexpensive insurance. I keep a backup for both my Return and Skimmer.

I owe you a DRINK! I did maintenance a week ago and just found the other cap in the sink disposal... I cleaned and put it back and the pump is now working properly!

Thank you all!
