this is going to be fun.
I figure I am going to try and put as little actual cash as I can into this tank.
the lfs gave me the sump and tank when he was spring cleaning. the branch rock I traded him a couple frags for, almost everything else I had kicking around. I am going to get 4 erectus seahorses from a friend who is breeding them so no cost there. I have a few plastic plants I am going to throw in for hitching posts until the macro algae Im getting grow's in.

so far the setup has cost me $16 for two 3' pieces of flex tube.

Looking forward to seeing how things turn out. Good luck.

well I put some live stock in the tank last night.
originally I was going to go with 2 seahorses then that turned into 4 and by the time I could stop him from giving me stuff I had 4x 4" and 2x 2 1/2" erectus seahorses and a piece of dragon tongue algae for this tank!
the only problem is I dont have much macro algae in the tank for them to hitch to, so I had to throw in a few plastic plants until I get macro algaes growing in for them

here is the happy family they just ate before this pic then they all paired off by color (weird)

this is my favorite he has the spikes on his head and down his back

they seem very happy and all ate within 10 min or releasing them in the tank

awww MAN am I jealous. I love seahorses. I'm just scared that I'll kill them, so I keep talking myself out of getting some. This looks really great.
