Maintain cycle without livestock?

Started up a 20 gallon tank and added cycled media (marine pure) but probably won’t have fish for a little while. . . I did add a few blue hermits but that’s it. Should I just feed the Zoas and crabs to maintain the cycle?

If you don't feed them, neither will survive.

I guess what I mean is do I need to feed extra in anticipation of fish or will feeding the crabs be fine?

Extra isn't needed. Just enough to maintain nutrients for the coral
