Maintenance checklist

I'm working on a checklist for all the maintenance tasks that I need to do on my tank. I'm going to print it, laminate it and stick it to the inside of my cabinet door.

Its probably far from complete and you guys (and ladies) have probably a lot of input for me:


Daily
Check animal health
Check if all corals still in place
Check skimmer
Check temperature
Check RO/DI reservoir
Clean window


Every week
Check NO2, NO3, PO4, Ca, Mg, kH
Clean lamp lenses
Check ATO sensors
Check salinity

Every 2 weeks
Water change

Every month
Check PH, ORP, salinity sensors

Every 3 months
Clean streamers
Clean return pump
Clean skimmer
Clean the sump
Triton Test

looks good, clean skimmer cup and mech filter (if used) weekly or more if needed, clean your overflow box out too. of course you may need to modify after a few months or year mark, also once tank is established you may not need to test nitrite nitrate and phos so often unless you observe something.

In my current tank I do measure the nitrite nitrate and phos a lot less, basically only when is see some algae build up. But I want to be a bit more proactive with it.
