Hey all,

Just switched my primary circulating pump from my old Turbo Sea 1100 to the new PanWorld 150 today. I'd like to clean/do an overhaul of the Turbosea and store as the backup. I can't find anything online about this. I'm thinking I should circulate some dilute acid? Maybe backing out the housing bolts and clearning impeller etc. But-- I don't want to mess anything up and not sure if I need new gaskets etc if I start mucking around with it.

Anyone know?

Thanks

update: I ended up taking it apart-- soaking the impeller and casing in vinegar. The fan blade was pretty junked up with dust/crap, cleaned most off but curious if I can remove the fan totally so I can really clean that area/get the crud out? I found that plug on underside of pump to access to allen tension bolts- but despite loosening them up I can't release the fan shaft. Any pumpheads out there know about this stuff? thanks
