It's Sunday night again, which means after spending a couple hours on the tanks, my room looks like this:

Inevitably, it will look like this until at least Wednesday when I get time to clean it up (or more likely, when something else happens that I need to address). I'm not lucky enough to have a dedicated fish and filtration room. But there has got to be a better way to keep things tidy so I can just sit and enjoy the tanks without all the distraction (and without needing extra hours for cleanup after maintenance day).

Any one have a good system or set up to help my laziness?

Wow, i guess I’m not the only one...Lol I feel your pain
here is what I’ve come up with,
1. don’t be lazy (I struggle with this too)
2. stuff needs a home. put stuff that you use frequently closer to the front of your cabinets like test kits, foods, dosing, so it’s not such a pain to get out and put away. Stuff that you use once a week or less keep in the back of the cabinet. This helps me with clutter.
water change stuff keep where you make your water up. if thats possible.
3.don’t be lazy
4. I enjoy my tank much more when it’s neat and tidy. So that helps me not be so lazy.
5. try to split maintenance up throughout the week so it’s not so much work. that way cleaning up afterwards doesn’t seem like such a big task.

Good luck.
