One other possibility, due to the size and color, is Cribrinopsis Crassa. Maybe look that up and compare.
I've been searching for these "Crassa" anemones in the US for years! Here's hoping somebody like you still has some.My first thought as well when I saw the title and the little green guy. First, there are thousands of different anemones, so I'm not really sure. The second consideration is it's size; Cribrinopsis Crassa never get big, and that one looks on the larger size. These little green anemones were the craze in our local club maybe 15-20 years ago and sold as GBTA's. I purchased one and before I knew it, I had over 50. They never got big, and would split like rabbits on steroids. I eventually found out they were Cribrinopsis crassa, a small anemone from the Mediterranean that looked like a small GBTA. Ended up cleaning them all out. My recommendation is to keep an eye on your guy and if it starts to split, and split, and split, it's time to get rid of it. Otherwise, enjoy.
BTAs only shine in very established tanks.. in a less established tank they would appear quite dull..The coloration on the oral disk is different, Never seen that color on a BTA before.
Yup been keeping BTAs for over 4 yearsBTAs only shine in very established tanks.. in a less established tank they would appear quite dull..
Just trying to say, this BTA looks dull - but the tank is very immature.. so nothing unexpected.Yup been keeping BTAs for over 4 years
The tank is 3+ years old so not sure how it’s a very immature tank.Just trying to say, this BTA looks dull - but the tank is very immature.. so nothing unexpected.
Like in relativistic theory, each time frame is relative. For some tanks 3 years is a long time frame for some it's like a day long (think of "Interstellar" movie). The tank is 3+ years old so not sure how it’s a very immature tank.
it’s okay to be wrong, thanks for your input thoughLike in relativistic theory, each time frame is relative. For some tanks 3 years is a long time frame for some it's like a day long (think of "Interstellar" movie).
Looking at the amount of algae you have, I am putting your tank into a 3months maturity relativistic time frame. Having said that - that does not contradict uyour statement of tank's 3 year "maturity"..

Sorry - I may have sounded somewhat disrespectful, if that's the case - that wasn't the intention!it’s okay to be wrong, thanks for your input though![]()
Expands to 2”How big is it? Majanos typically max out at a certain size, and BTAs typically start at a certain size (as in they're usually not smaller than an inch).
