I noticed something fluorescing on the top of the rock work about four months ago. Not sure what it was, I've been keeping an eye on it. It's been growing steadily. I took a closer look from the top down a couple weeks back and need help with identification. Is this a majano? Is it a baby euphyllia? Is it something else?

Thank you

Neither. Can you get closer into specimen ??

it almost looks like a baby ricordea to me... do you/did you have any ricordea in your tank?
Thanks for the reply.

I've never had ricordea in the system. I had dried this rock when building my aquascape. It's been in the water for about 15 months now.

Looks great! Don't get rid of it. Let it grow.
When you do a water change, or something else that irritates your tank, does it have a skeleton or is it 100% soft tissue?

I will see if I can get a closer sharper photo. Unfortunately I'm limited to the phone. I'll see what I can do.
Nevermind- I was able to get to my computer and blow it up. Looks like a toxic green branching hammer.

Good question. It looks nice, but it's small, which is what makes the photo a bit of a challenge. I don't see a skeleton, but I didn't make too much because of the size.

Ok, there are several euphyllia in the system. There's branching yellow hammer and several torches. Some of these may have been recent imports so I considered if they may have spawned.

I guess I'll hold off on busting out the majano wand for now. :D

And. . . it can be branching yellow in which your lighting may change the color appearance
