I have had reef tanks for around 15 years and had great luck with them. However, I have a slight infestation of Majano's that I should have addressed earlier. That being said I am using Joe's Juice to take care of them. I 'feed' a number of them one day, then a number of them the next day....when I got up the 3rd day all of my bubble tips were retracted and not happy. They remained that way for a couple of days but they have now started to reemerge. It looks like it will take a day or two more to get them back where they should be.
The tank is a 110 x-hi. I did a 15g water change when I noticed the bubble tips not doing well after the treatment.
My question is....are the bubble tips getting bothered by 'joe's juice' somehow or is it from the decay of the Majano's?
I apply the treatment as directed keeping it right in the center of the Majano's so there is not chemical floating around.
I am holding off treating anymore until I know about why this is happening.
Thank you!
