I've had majonos in all my reefs it seems they always appear. They really arent that bad until they really start to take over and crawl up onto corals skeleton. I'm starting this thread to document my management of these little pesky anemones and hopefully eradication. More Kalk and a needle comes in the mail tommrow and I hope to try this method first and see how they respond. I've always just glued them in a crevice in a rock and then removed the glue a week later after they die but that's starting to become inefficient and it can be destructive. I would love anyone elses Input if they have tried different methods.

Kalk mixed into a paste works wonders - my preferred method

I tried 3 or 4 test tonight. I am not dosing kalk this week while I do this because I'm afraid of destabilizing my tank. They definitely did not like that lol. I dont wish to even eradicate these pest I only want to remove the ones that get to close to my corals. Also kind of difficult to keep completely off corals so a little nerve racking but I think everyone's ok. I got a little on my gsp but quickly sucked it up with a turkey baster.

Eventually I want them gone but I think that will be pretty far down the road.

When I use kalk paste I shut of all the pumps and let the paste sit for 15-20 minutes then vacuum the paste out. Allows me to use a lot and really coat the turds.

I did shut my pumps off but probably not for long enough
