What's your water pramameters?

Do a water change and syphon out all you can during the water change.

Is all your fish accounted for?
phost 0.3 nitrate 10 ph8.1-8.2 alk 8-9 salinity 1.206
All fish are doing fine skimmer pulling out a lot of stuff no lost of fish planing to do water change tonight 30-40% . Anything else I should do brown algae is really soft I can blow it out

I would run some GAC and a filter sock if you have it.

Do you think the tank sitter over feed the tank?

Definitely I would siphon as much of that out as you can during the WC - That should get you back up and running.

Maybe cut the lights off for a day or shorten the light cycle. Almost looks like they weren’t shut off. Cuc and tangs cleaned mine up in a couple days when I was running my lights to long.

I sucked up what I could and put my good socks in to catch everything.

At least your parameters are still solid. Livestock all alive.. Looks like your tank-sitter just has a more generous idea of what a "pinch of" food is :)

I would not jump to a 30%-40% water change - depending on your salt - which may be more harmful than good. Siphon as much out as you can and go back to 'your' routine - as compared to your sitters. I guess I wouldn't change the lights - The Nitrate being 10 and po4 being (I can't remember) may not mean much unless we know what they were before. It just means that you still have NO3 and PO in your tank - and that stuff is growing - the problem is that its growing faster than whatever else is growing - and you're seeing this problem.

One other suggestion - make sure nothing's dead (inverts/remove any non moving snails, etc). I feel for you - vacation disasters are the worst.

btw - when I had this - I found if I siphoned all I could each day - and added back that amount of water - it worked far better than trying to make a big water change. Also - do the siphoning at a period of maximum light - which is when you'll get more stuff out.
