MAJOR PROBLEM!! Thank god I was home but my Vectra Ecotech M1 pump started making a weird noise would not crank up all of the way, so I thought there maybe something that got stuck up in the pump.. Long story short I took the pump totally apart and there is absolutely nothing that got sucked up into the M1 pump. It's 11 months old and it has never been cleaned and here are a few pixs of what the propeller looks like! Maybe if I soak it 1 part Vinegar and 1 part water it could work! The propeller still spins so I am not sure what the heck it could be! Currently, I have two 6050's TUNZE nano stream pumps working which will buy me a few days if I can't fix it. If I can't fix I am sure Ecotech will stand behind their 1-year warranty and send out a new pump. Anyhow, I have turned off pretty much everything except for my fan, my two TUNZE 6055's Nanostream pumps and my Hydra 26's HD's led LIGHTS. Any other recommendations?

Before warranty, I would get a spare pump to keep water going so I could soak the ecotech in water-vinegar for 24h and then see if after a good brushing and cleaning the ecotech recovers.

1st 3 pixs is before I CLEAN IT ALL OUT. The next few pixs are after I SOAKED IT scrubbed it down.

Ok, just cleaned out everything and! I am going to let everything dry out and try firing it back up..

@Alfrareef , So instead of letting it dry out even know I scrubbed it pretty good, you would let it soak overnight?
Remember, I still have my TUNZE 6055's running at full blast which is plenty of circulation.

That's how I clean the pumps. They stay in the bucket (water+vinegar) for 24h, then I clean (brushing heavily) and put to work inside the bucket (water+vinegar) for some time to be sure that all the residues are gone.
After that I place them on clean water working for 10-20 mins.
Only after this treatment I place them back in the tank/sump.
I also do this for the ATO pump (habit I got from kalkwasser time...) and before storing any pump.
With this procedure I keep the pumps in good conditions.
Hope this helps...

I just let mine run in the vinegar and water overnight, a little scrub bing and they look brand new.

I do also run it RO for 10 to 20 mins before putting that back in use.

I soak my pump parts for about 4 hours in pure vinegar and then clean. Much quicker. Be sure not to put any ruber in the solution like gaskets as they may swell.

I do the same as above. Also rinse with RO/DI but don't worry about a little vinegar transferred...think of it as a one time carbon dose.
