Makassar is where they are from (Sulawesi). This is where the red and/or speckled ones like Darth Mauls and other morphs are famous for coming from. I am sure there are many morphs of zoas that don't look like that which come from there as well. Definitely take some pics and let us know what you get!

Well I have 30 colonies coming so fingers crossed ;)

I have a question about a lot of these makassar palys... are they mari/aquacultured?

I notice a similar pattern with many of these colonies. They are all on crushed coral(birdsnest?) and appear to be on a mound of what looks almost like epoxy. It certianly doesnt look natural. Also the way in which these colonies grow in dispersed clumps with no real pattern is very strange and also appears unnatural to me.

Anyone else notice this?

Yeah I noticed that as well. My guess is that the Indo facilities are concreting them together in order to charge a "colony" price to the importers. Not to found of having that concrete in my water, personally.

You're not the only one. I noticed that right away as well. I doubt they're aquacultured though since the melting rate was still a good amount for the darth mauls I got. I also saw some of those gold-teal rainbow yumas recently as well and they were glued on the rock in a similar fashion, but hear those are indeed aquacultured.

Well they arrived and have been acclimatised.
Will add some pics tonight.
Here's a teaser.

hes trying to profit off these so he can help himself, or get the names from the person who he got them from. I doubt anyone is going to go through his 30+ pictures and ID every zoa colony so he can make a buck.
