So I've watched plenty of videos on how to make one of these myself, however my question lies with placement of the reactor.
So let me explain my sump, I have an emerald trigger 26 inch sump it has 3 section in the first section the water enters the filter sock and then into the first main chamber which houses my protien skimmer. The water then flows into the second chamber which is where I will be setting up my refugium. Lastly it enters the return area to go back up into the display.
So I know that the reactor is supposed to go before the protien skimmer however there really isn't a chamber before the skimmer to put it in. My question is am I able to put the reactor in the same chamber as the skimmer.
I guess my concern is, since the reactor will pump out some bad bacteria which the skimmer is supposed to suck up to remove is it a problem if some of that bad bacteria goes back through the reactor since its in the same chamber.
