I'm not sure yet how much difference it makes, but my planned LPS will probably prefer some wave action as opposed to the constant linear flow I'm only capable of right now.

I am starting my first reef aquarium. I just got a 50 gallon rimless cube with a 20 gallon sump, and I'm setting it up now. I was just doing some research on display tank flow and came across this same item and was wondering how well it would work! It looks like a great product and I would love it as I plan to have an anemone which would look cool with natural wave action.
