Making a algae reactor, have a question

Hey all, I'm going g to make an algae reactor this week, been researching all the forums and videos, my question is which algae would work best? Also would green hair algae work better? I have a little GHA in the tank and was wondering if I place it in the reactor would that work ??? Any thoughts ???

I don't think the GHA grows fast enough to remove nutrients. Was thinking most use Chaeto or another macro algae.
