I want to make a cave for my porcupine puffer to hang out in during the day. He would spend most of his day up in a corner sleeping (out of of the light) and it wasn't until I dimmed the lights that he started spending his day down low.

The cave will need to be big, at least 12". I was planning on using acrylic or Pvc legs supporting an acrylic or egg crate top. Then I was going to put shelf rocks on the top.

Does this sound feasible?

Is this stuff aquarium safe? https://www.petco.com/shop/en/petco...r/imagitarium-black-marbled-resin-stone-stack

If you got really thin acrylic sheet, you could bend it to the shape you want with a heat gun.

Do you have an LFS near you that carries the LifeRock “shapes” line?
There’s one near me that does, and I was able to pick through all they had to build this and buy just the pieces I wanted. You could do something similar but bigger...
