Making a Stand got that part decided need advice on using a mat or not

Hello, I dumped my Stand on the 11th hour to go DIY so that will be built here soon. Being a Rimless 60-gallon cube that is rimless so what would be suggested to separate the tank from the Plywood top of the stand?

Foam?
I was told to get 3/4" pink foam from Home Depot to what kind I have no idea
Someone even told me a Yoga mat. Never done that and I wonder how many sizes they make for that.
Looking for any advice out there. Many thanks

Is there a reason you want to have something sit in between the tank and stand? The yoga mat is a good idea. You would need to cut to fit. The only difference in price is usually how thick they are.

My best advice on this oft asked question is to follow the recommendation of the tank builder. He or she will not need to speculate. Generally, tanks that are rimless and sit on the full expanse of the bottom require a foam pad of some kind. Rimmed tanks do not, though there is actually no downside to it. My current acrylic sits on the full bottom and the tank builder specifies either the pink insulation or white styrofoam as long as it's at least 3/4". When I asked specifically about something like a yoga mat I was told it's too thin to be useful. I prefer the pink stuff because it doesn't pebble.
