ok so going to get or make an algae reactor, I have a phosphban 150 reactor that I do not use, would it be big enough for a 150 gal tank ? or so I need a bigger reactor ?

Interesting question. But I am thinking that it would be dependent on your individual bioload. And since you have one on hand, give it a try and post your results for others. I will be trying one similar. And have a heavy bioload. Due to my love of feeding my tank. Full fish are happy fish.

I dont think thats big enough for a 150 gallon.

What you want is lots of flow, and lots of red/blue light preferably leds with mainly 660nm.

Why not dedicate a sump space and grow it there with a kessil grow light.

I'd like to use my 150 for my 60 cube--no room whatsoever for a fuge.

sadly no room in sump, I picked up the phosban 550 and reb/blue grow lights from amazon. I should have it up and running this weekend, will post results weekly, hope it works if not I will just run GFO in it.

I just wonder how much the growth rate would be that you're taking it offline every week to harvest the macro
