So I am in the process of preparing my new tank and stand and sump. 72G bow front that I just drilled and plumbed with a bean animal overflow. The sump is a 29G that I will purchase the kit for or maybe cut my own acrylic. I have to have the project done for my move on May 1 so you may see me posting more questions!

I was going to build a stand but don't really have the time, money or experience. I did a water test and the stand held up fine. I will reinforce the stand with some 2x2's I. The corners and some metal braces. It blows my mind that these are made with particle board and hold up.

The previous owner had cut out the front middle bored or removed the "metal pegs" that would have attached it. I have to say I would like to make this bored removable so that if need be I can remove the sump. He would just place it in. I used wing nuts on my 40B stand to make the back board removable but I don't believe that will work on this. Do any of you have any ideas? Thank you!

How the other boards are held in and how this one was held in:

With the split in the top surface being supported by that center panel, I wouldn't attempt this.

I second evolved's opinion
