Making new salt water.

When does everyone else make their salt water?

I have been keeping a 90l tub filled with salt water, as I do my water changes I add new rodi and salt to bring it back up.

I have just tested my tank and noticed 25ppm nitrates and was about to do a water change, I decided to test the tub water for giggles and found out its at 50Ppm nitrate. Not sure why. I'm going to dump it and start a new batch but I might start making it as needed. When does everyone else make it?

I do my water changes on sundays, I start making water friday afternoon, and start mixing saltwater Friday night through Saturday so it's ready to go Sunday

Red sea coral pro salt. I'm not growing any sps but that was the salt I had on hand.

Have you ever tested it prior to putting it in the tank or do you think there is no need?

I test salinity only. I used to test alk, using red sea blue bucket my readings have been so consistent I dont test anymore.
