Hello fellow Reefers..
Here's what I have thinking about. I have been studying into the use of plastic corrugated pads. Like in the use of all yard signs political and yard sales. Polypropylene is considered the by the FDA to be among the safest plastics available because it is so heat resistant — even scalding hot beverages can be served in polypropylene containers without any toxins leaching out. ... This means your corrugated plastic boards are food-safe, non-toxic, and perfectly reusable. Now with that being said, I am going to build some corner racks held with plastic coated n52 magnets. I will doll them up some way I just haven't thought enough about it yet. (There are so many color choices as well, black or purple would be so cool!) Followed up with slight rock and or shell edging. And then filled with sand, or rubble for Zoas? Holders for even cups? It is a endless possibility.
This just hit me this morning. I was going to rock cut coral to fit into the corners with a rock saw this would be a lot of work BUT they would be so nice! Followed up with counter sunk n52 plastic coated magnets. My rock is "ALL" fully coralline coated purple rock 28 year old live rock I have been around a while... lol. If I can doll up the plastic not only is it light, it also would be so, so much easier to manufacture corner shelves in my tanks, and a bunch of them temporary and some permanent ones as well.. The magnets will hold them perfectly and a lot stronger shelving material for ever.. It makes so much sense to me.
Has anyone used this material like this before..?
