I have a Trigger Elite 36" sump. I gave up on the filter socks quickly and started growing chaeto in that area. It works great but I need to stop the light from bleeding into my skimmer before I have an algae issue in it. My idea is to have a removable panel that is made of acrylic with a weir on the bottom that will also hold a filter pad that helps stop the chaeto from getting through, I am currently using the pad that sat on top of the socks just set inside of the hole cut to size. I would like to have a weir in front of it because there is a lot chaeto stuck to it and I am nervous it might affect the flow. I would need the acrylic to come all the way up and have a hood that covers the overflow hole up top. Is there someone who does custom acrylic work that would be able to help me that I can contact? Thanks for any suggestions.
