Just wanted to stop by and introduce myself. My name is Michael and I live in Savannah, GA. My son and I are planning our first SW tank. Right now all we have is a 29G tank and an Amazon cart full of stuff just waiting on more money to get into our pockets. I've been doing lots of reading the last couple weeks and my brain is in information overload mode right now. Anyways TIA for all the info you guys will bestow upon me and I hope that I can help out as well.

Welcome to R2R!!!

Welcome to Reef 2 Reef
Yes your right, there’s a lot of info
But remember this KISS - keep it simple stupid, you’ll be happy you did!
Catchy saying! But really, don’t over think it! I like L R - live rock, but most use Dry/Live Rock (BRS- bulk reef supply) make sure you Cure the Dry Rock

Welcome Michael and son to R2R and your new reefing family and welcome to the hobby.

I just want to say that when I was a kid 15~ years ago, I dabbled in saltwater with my dad too. At the time we had experience with our koi pond and tropical freshwater, but failed miserably at any attempts more than FOWLR. I think the technology since then has really minimized the learning curve for saltwater and it's a lot easier now. Good luck to you guys, you'll love it!

Will do. Meeting someone this weekend that says he'll hook me up and get me started. He had multiple tanks running and Hurricane Matthew decided to nuke them last year. So he's got a ton of stuff he's willing to give me.
