Well after alot of thought and the fact in aprox 2 months Ill be getting a larger tank I have made the switch. Im switching from AI SOls Blues to 16k Maxspect Razors 160s. I purchased 2 of them. Im currently going to only run one on my 92 gallon corner. Im going to a 6ft tank down the road is why i bought 2. So Ill follow with pics once the change is done. As soon as UPS gets here ...LOL

Got the light in Today!!! And I must say, I am very impressed its not called the Razor for a reason, this thing is super thin.

Out of box things I liked
Hanging kit- Included
Mounting Legs- Included
Packaged very nicely

I was worried it was going to take forever to program it, however it litterly to less then 5 min. Very easy to say the least

So now to some pictures

Before 2 AI SOL Blues Whites at 80% Blues and Royals at 100%

Razor
Currently running at 100% both channels

Now as far as the disco effect people talk about I do not see that, I do see a hint of a pinkish purple color , but I actually like it, brings out colors in some of the corals.

I like also the fans are controlled, the fixture must hit 125 degreese, then the fans will kick on . I have seen colors on my acro bright blue tips that ive never seen before

Have u experienced any temp issues with tank? I have a canopy so I'm probably going to mount with the legs n on tank. I have a 125 rr. Do you know how these thing work with sps

Well as far as temp issues, none what so ever. Now I have seen these on several tanks locally and the SPS growth is wonderful. This is basically how i look at it. I previously had 2 AI Sol Blues so I had 48 x 3 watt cree LEDs. The 160 Watt Razor has now without looking at the diagram I believe its 42 x 3 watt cree LEDs and then 6 Epistar UVs , the uvs are high output as well but I could not find much information on them.

Now with a canopy this is what you can do. There are 4 holes in each fixture that you mount the hanging kit to. I would simply recommend getting longer screws, get a spacer of some type. I talked to Coral Vue yesterday he stated the only time he has ever got a fan to kick on was when he sat the fixture on a table upside down. Basically starving it of air.

Im gonna take some pics in aprox 2 weeks to show coral growth. However I did notice even right after the switch it seemed things were happier with polyp extension. I think this might be due to the fact that the fixture has more colors in it.

Came home today to see a couple of my frags were bleaching a bit, the colonies no worries, so i moved the bleached ones down. These are a little more powerful then I thought
