Making water enter area to refugium

I wanted to make the part were the water enters the sump to a refugium I feel like that’d be very possible since it would get very good flow and adding lights would be easy so the question is would there be a issue with this

The only issue is keeping whatever you have in the fuge area, stay in there and not get into the skimmer or return pump.

I added an egg crate wall just an inch away from the glass divider to help keep the fuge stuff from getting over the divider.

I think it's very doable for your sump. Just like the person above said, make sure you can keep algae in the fuge.
