Making wave makers safe

I have been keeping anemones since 1990 and have yet to have one get into a powerhead or pump. I'm not sure there really is a secret other than letting the anemones land where they are comfortable and not try to force then to be where they are not happy. I know everyone wants them front and center as a showpiece but if they don't like the flow or lighting they will not stay put and will wander. If they start moving around adjust your powerheads some and track their movements until they settle where they are happy.

I switched from Evolutions 1400 powerheads on a RKL switching every 30 seconds to Jebao WP-25's on their own controllers two weeks ago and one of my RBTA's and a carpet anemone moved around for the first time in a couple years. I am watching their movements and adjusting the flow directions until they are happy somewhere where they can be seen again. I don't touch or move the anemone or rock it is on, I change the flow slightly and watch for a few days.
