Maldives White Stripe Terelabrus Hogfish

Not like other hogfish. Tops out at 4". Extremely peaceful, does better at temps in low to mid 70's.

And also very shy compared to the hogfish norm. Needs peaceful tankmates.

Easily my favorite that I've had...not shy once adult, 100% peaceful and a bit of a puppy dog personality (curious interactive).

If your other inhabitants would be accepting of it, you won't regret it!

Minor correction...I think mine was referred to as a "yellow stripe".

That and my pic didn't do the fish justice...here's a "pro shot"
The yellow squiggle from the mouth, under the eye, to the gills was florescent!

That's our BOYS!

We acquired ours through LiveAquaria in 2012. They are extremely shy when first introduced. They are deep water fish and as someone else mentioned, they do better long term with cooler tank temps (low to mid 70's). Ours developed a "tan" under low watt LED's. Once adjusted to captive life, they are very personable. Ours act like "puppies" when you walk in the room and will eat out of your hand.

Nice shot M&T!

I also found a pic of mine with the 'squiggle' fluorescing!
