half black,chocolate or hybrid

I have had this halfblack mimic tang for over a year now, from what I have seen mine dosnt look like the normal halfblack having the orange neer its gills and around the eyes.
everything I have found says the chocolate tang has orange neer its gills and eyes but not the half black

here is a pic what do you think? chronixis or Pyroferus or a hybrid?

Mine looks exactly the same and I'm not sure if its a chocolate anymore... I'm starting to think its a hybrid

If I recall correctly... All mimic tangs are [essentially] the same species of fish.

The different names and coloration come from whichever pygmy angelfish are local to the juvenile tangs. So a juvenile Lemonpeel Mimic Tang will mimic a Lemonpeel Angelfish if that is the angelfish inhabiting that reef.
So as the juvenile tangs mature fully into adulthood, they will all resemble each other. Until the change is compete, they will exhibit some of the characteristics of the angelfish that they were mimicking.

Nice looking tang, BTW!
I have a Lemonpeel Mimic Tang myself; and it looks similar to your first photo.
Your fish (mimicking the half-black) has the blue edge on the tail. My fish (mimicking the lemon peel) has a yellow edge on the tail.
