That container does look to be about half the size of a standard unit used in aquarium so it could very well be that is normal

Thanks! And yeah, I love bowfronts, people complain about distortion but its not that bad and I kinda like it.

I never had a problem with it myself. Lighting it was a bit of a pain but it looks like you’ve got that covered nicely. I loved the dimensions.

I also love the dimensions, and yeah, lighting was a problem at first. The one thing I don't like is the hug center brace. It is 3 inches wide. I'd love to put a third light but can't because of the brace.

Yep. That brace was a kill joy. I only kept low light corals in the tank so I didn’t worry too much about I. Put a current orbit strip light on it. It did the job for what I had. It was restrictive though and I could tell the corals near the bottom didn’t get enough light.

yea, Im only keeping softies and maybe a hammer. I may convert to a black box eventually though

I have some GHA but some more CUC is coming Wednesday. Zoas are closed up do the the GHA. Good news, my first fish is in the tank after 30 days copper and metro! It’s a black and white clown! I also attached a pic of when the zoas are happy!

I finished my first run of RODI...It seems my DI already has some depletion at the botton. Is this normal? If not, What could I do to fix this?

If your source water is high in chloramines this could be the cause of rapid DI consumption. If this is the cause the way to fix is a three stage DI unit that separates cation, anion, and mixed DI resins. You then change out just the single depleted resin.

You can get test strips from a swimming pool store or likely Amazon. Test the waste water coming out of your RODI unit.
