Mame Overflow for a 150 gallon tank ?

As the title said, is it ok for me to get a Mame overflow for my 150 gallon penninsula tank ? Because I love the nice and clear look that it provides, instead of drilling my tank to make a drain and covering it again with black background.
So, is it ok for the flowrate from the display tank to the sump and from the return back to the DP kind of slower, like 550 gallons/hr ? I don't mind the algae growing from inside of it, I will clean it weekly anyway. I'm more concern about the flow. I'm currently have 2 MP40 on opposite sides of the tank, still thinking to get one more gyre because it gonna be SPS dominat. The flow inside of the DP will be enough for the coral I think...

I don’t think it’s likely to move enough water. Do you know what it’s rated for?

Also, the name overflow looks nice on a reef tank for a day. Then it starts getting covered in algae. You’ll be cleaning it every few days.

It's rated for 50 gallons tank.

Actually they are only rated for 190GPH, but require a pump that can do at least 550GPH. If you need them for a larger tank(they state nothing over 100G), then your would be required to use 2. At the price of roughly 190$ a piece, thats 40$ in overflows that probably won't be able to handle your size tank to begin with.

All glass construction and the cost, looks like failure waiting to happen to me. God don't ever drop it or your screwed. Great idea for a nano, but certainly not for larger tanks. OP glad you brought this up, I had never heard of this type of overflow.

ok, I will stay away from it then. LOL, I accidentally bought 1 already, I will keep it for another smaller tank then
