Hey gang went to my LFS to pick up a six line wrasse ended up getting wrasse, two corals, and this! Anyone know what a 57 gallon rimless tank with stand goes for $?
1/4” glass built in overflow no sump?

Picked it up for $250. Good deal? The person at shop said it was a Hygger tank but there are no marking any where.

Well new ones are anywhere from 400 to 900 depending on brand thought this was a good tank for 250 just wanted to know what people rely think it’s worth not like I’m taking it back lol I really want a 170 gallon but 5000 is not in my near future unless I hit the lotto lol

I guess it depends on the person and size tank. I bought my 240 gallon tank with stand, sump, (return pumps that I didn’t use), 5 wake makers I didn’t use, (went with different ones, tank was marineland tank was 6 months old (proof of purchase), and was 300 at my lfs. They have a 300 double deep with stand there now for 500, with sump. So just depends on what one is looking for. It was a great deal for me because it was an upgrade and was much much cheaper than a new tank and fairly new and has still no scratches in the glass.

If your trying to sell it etc I am not sure if it was a great deal but moving up to a better tank and didn’t break the bank then it’s a good deal. Not sure what you have now, but this hobby doesn’t have to be expensive if you shop and find good deals. They are definitely out there, like I see reef dynamic skimmers for super cheap, (and work), probably one of thee best skimmers in its time, and loudest but I see huge massive ones for 200 at times.

I have a 75 gallon reef tank that is 7 months old and this is going to be the second salt tank getting out of fresh water so it is replacing a 75 gallon fresh water tank in the living room. GF wants a smaller tank there and the 75 is an old school 1/2” thick glass beast that has seen better days. Take it down sell it put hardwood floor in living room an put up new tank is the plan.

thats a good plan. I don’t see why it wouldn’t be a good deal, especially if it holds water. I really like the stand too.

In my anecdotal experience, used equipment sells @ 25 to 35 cents on the dollar. This excludes some of the higher end pumps, lights, controllers which seem to retain more value.

Just remember the tank is the cheapest part of the build, ha. Now lets see the deal you got on the lights, skimmer, powerheads, return pump, heaters, dosers, controllers, sump, dry/live rock and salt.

If you were near me. I would take it in a heart beat. I am looking for a similar setup to upgrade from my biocube. Good luck with your aquarium.

i noticed the tank has a rim on the bottom. Are some made with a rim on the bottom and not the top? I have seen people remove the top rim of a tank, just making sure that is not the case here.

It will look awesome set up! I love the center overflow. It is easy to hide and makes the tank look clean from 3 sides.
