Man, what is it with this hobby and fish?

The elite super gorgeous fish are just not compatible with even lightest of reefs. And/or the super gorgeous fish are finicky eaters and go into starvation.

In no other hobby can I think.of is it so hard to maintain the elite gorgeous group of things.

Do we all just have SUCKER written on our foreheads?

Those fish are gorgeous because they stand out due to rarity. They are rare in the hobby because they are hard to care for or expensive or both. This also makes them elite.

Elite meaning hard to keep is kewl.

I don't think beautiful requires elite, in fact consider this tank. All of the items and creatures in this tank are easy to keep. However the reefer's skill at combining them into a work of art is clearly evident.

I think it is the skill of the reefer not the items kept that makes someone good.

This goes for any hobby/endeavor.
