Managing large quantity of dosing intervals with DOS?

Is there an easy way to manage a large quantity of dosing intervals with the Neptune DOS dosers?

I'm currently running 4 intervals per day across 4 separate solutions which requires updating 16 intervals in fusion for any change. I'd like to add more but it's a chore to update 16 separate intervals already. Vivid mentioned they dose 22x per day last time I was in their shop. What am i missing. How can you set up that many intervals without a ridiculous amount of work to change the dose? I currently need to tweak the dose a few times a week and will need to do so for quite some time as my reef has a long ways to go.

Just to check; are you aware of the ability to copy profiles? This allows you to set up one profile as you want it, then just import and save it on the others.

There's also the task "DOS Additive Dosing" that you can use. This "wizard" will walk you through setting up most common dosing schedules pretty quickly. It won't do every possible combination, but it's generally good enough for most things, I've found.

I believe I'm currently using the wizard like you describe. Below is an example of one of my doser schedules using the wizard which is frustrating to update across 16 intervals. I'm not aware of using profiles to manage dosing. Can you point me to any resources on dosing with profiles? It makes me a bit nervous using code I might not understand to manage something as important as dosing but maybe it's worth a shot. Thank you

Yup; that looks like the output of using the wizard.

Sorry; there isn't (that I'm aware of) any kind of "profile". I just meant that you can copy the programming from one DOS (or any device/outlet, for that matter) from one to another. If you are setting them all up the same, it's really simple:
1) Set up on DOS like you want them all to be (using the wizard, for example).
2) On the "edit" screen (above) of one of the other DOS, click the "Copy" button near the top-right:

3) Select the DOS that you updated and submit the pop-up, then save the changes.
4) Repeat 2 & 3 above for the other two DOS pumps.

All four DOS heads will then have the same (new) dosing schedule.

Oh I see what you mean now. But not sure that would work since the dosing times need to be different across the various solutions which can't be dosed together. Below you can see all my dosing intervals expanded which are an hour apart currently. Am I thinking about that correctly or do you still see a way the copy and paste profile might work? Thanks,

Yeah; that's when things get tough... :-\

Long story short; there's no easy solution to this that I've come across. It's just part of the "growing pains" of a tank that is getting set up and acclimated. There are some shortcuts I use - such as copying the profile and then tweaking the points (instead of creating them from scratch every time) or else modifying the advanced code to shift the start time as needed. But in the end, those are just minor improvements to a laborious process that don't make it all that much easier...

Take solace, I guess, that you'll have it dialed in (eventually) and - once you're there - you'll really be "in tune" with your tank, I guess? :-|
