Mandarin and Ruby Red Scooter Blenny?

I was thinking about using this hatchery-

The shrimp could live in there for a day and throughout the day I could pour the ones that are in the collection cup into the feeder.
You put a light over the whole in the middle and the shrimp get attracted to it. Then you pull the shrimp up in the collection cup.
What do you think?

I used an NLS pellet container and cut a hole in the lid. I stretch stocking over the container and screw on the lid. You have to play around with the stocking either stretching it or not so it lets a few bbs out at a time.
That is a good idea but I was thinking of something a little more flat
Would something like this work?- It is probably about the size of a quarter
pill container

I already feed that :)
I have heard that people have had good success with that. Is LRS still selling the fish eggs? That would be a really could food for them

Yes we have plenty of fish eggs available for now. I have a video of a red scooter hammering the eggs on my phone at a LFS but it has not made it to the website yet. Here is some more info about the eggs:

Folks who have tried them have been very happy with the results. Good luck!

Hatching BBS isn't necessary, just get a bottle off ebay of decapsulated brine shrimp eggs. There's a guy in Floriday with a fair price. Just be sure wherever you get it, it must say "hatching" decapsulated brine shrimp.
This sustained 3 red ruby dragonets in a 55. The 2 females shared the male every night for spawning. One female was so large at one point I literally thought she was going to burst from either her eggs or the bbs eggs. :)
Just add some drops in the morning and evening and you're good.

Yeah, I was looking for something a little flatter, but that's all I had on hand at the time. I will probably change it to something smaller with a lower profile in the future, but in the meantime this works fine and I push most of it in the sand so that it doesn't sit so high. Mandarin doesn't complain, he parks himself on it and sucks down bbs.

I also use a stocking, just don't stretch it hardly at all. Don't use fishnet stockings unless you are feeding live mackerel. I use a plastic container electrical tape sometimes comes in at Home Depot.

But aren't decapsulated shrimp way more expensive?
If I would decide to use them could I just drop the decapsulated shrimp strait into the feeder and they could catch in there?

Way more, that's relative. And yes you can just put them in the feeder.

If you really want to you can decap them yourself. I believe it's a minute or two in a bleach solution and then you rinse very well and add dechlorinator, etc.. Though if it's the hatching route I can't recall. One way produces hatchable eggs, the other renders the eggs inert. Best way though to eliminate the extra work of having to hatch and/or deal with shells.

Would you recommend these?-

How long can they last in the fridge? Would I have to clean the target feeder to clean out the bbs that didn't hatch?

That little guy is so fat I think he is going to pop :)

I just thought o another question-
Do the female mandarins stay smaller then the males even if they are kept alone? I would like a female even they are illegal to catch (I think) and hard to find

Can you keep a red mandarin and a ruby red scooter blenny in a 29 gallon tank? I would dose pods monthly and I have a large fuge in my sump. I will also dose phyto to keep the pod population kind of high and I would feed them enriched baby brine shrimp daily using Paul b's mandarin target feeder.
Thanks :)
I have mine in a 125 but i will say i feed them every other day reef frenzy foods and they both go to town on it. So if for any reason the pods went away i feel they would both make it with frozen food.
