I am 3.5 weeks into QT with my mandarin dragonette. Fallow period is over.

I know they are known to hide parasites better than most species...

What's the common expectancy on his QT time before Its safe to bring him into my DT... he has shown no signs, no issues, no nothing...

I'm afraid to bring him in but need to get him in first since he is the outsider to my community in the HT that needs to start going in the DT asap...

TIA

I would be hesitant. Depending on what all you treated for while in QT. If it was strictly observation it would be a good idea to put a black Molly in with the Mandy to he sure you are disease free if that is your goal.

Can I give the mandarin a prazipro bath and then fw dip him before moving into the DT?

Also... what is the recommended mix/formula for prazi bath with fresh salt water? Same as the bottle says for treatment?

Just curious on how you were able to feed the Mandarin in a QT? Don't you need an establish number of copepods to keep it alive? How does one get enough copepods establish in the QT or do you keep adding copepods everyday?

My friend, mentor, works at my LFS. He knew I was ready for one (pods have grown out of control in my Fallow'd DT)

When he got this in he segregated it, and trained it, by complete ****nluck, on LRS frenzy nano, thawed out and shaken until it got to "pod size" pieces.

Success.

1 Prazipro bath will only eliminate adult flukes (if he has them). You really need a second round, 5-7 days later, to eliminate any hatchlings from the eggs left behind.
