End of october I added 2 physic. mandarins. The male is fine, all over the tank hunting pods. No idea if he eats anything else. The female has never climbed into the rocks, just on the sand. I don't see her eating and she appears even more listless and very thin.

I had thought I'd seen white poop but only once so I treated the tank with prazipro over the weekend in case she has internal parasites. I think I did this on Sunday. Skimmer is off

I use a turkey baster to offer live brine when I have it, and mysis, oyster eggs, rotifilers, and nutra mar ova. Never seen her eat any of it

I'm afraid to put her into the 20 gal qt as it is tall and hard to get to her. The 10 coral qt I have has a not so happy nem and tons of ugly stage stuff. I don't know about putting her in a large jar as I can't heat it. And a small container in tank to keep water same temp, she'd not have the flow but maybe she doesn't need.

just not sure what to do. I do have copepod culture going so could try to feed her but if she isn't eating anything in the tank, then that would waste them in a way. The jars are prob. ready to harvest some.

Suggestions?

Tank is a year old in 2 days. All other fish doing well, including the male

Here she is

I do have one male mandy and he is fat. I read somewhere not to add another mandy (for my case a female) if they are not a mated couple. Any chances the other one is a bully?

I got them both at the same time. I've seen no bullying. The male once in a while goes to her. I'm going to guess wild. She has survive since oct 28 but last few days is looking worse. I've been target feeding her since I got her if I saw her where I could target her.

I am not sure if bought at the same time fits the mated pair description :). As long as no bullying by the other mandy or fishes, it could be a parasite or other infection. They are finicky eaters, they prefer live foods (hence the continuous rock picking). Mine will grab some pellets if it falls right in front of his face :D. Moving the mandy in to QT for treatment is a good call, you can feed her exclusively as well.

She's in qt. Put in some pods. Will add some every day or so--a turkey baster full and try the brine a couple times a day. I had started prazipro treatment. Should I add to the qt? It has sand and some rock--not much, enough for the pods and for her to feel comfortable--one fist size--female if that and some rubble. I have CP as well. Not sure what is the best option. Not seen any improvement in 3 days of prazi

IMO. Keep doing what you're doing.
Avoid the meds for now Esp the cP imo

You've got rock pods and sand in there , maybe add some chato.
I'd guess she's also having to adjust to the tank. Esp smell. Bob Fenner would have reccomend using water from the original tank to keep the fish calm and help with the acclimation to the new tank. I'd actually try that. If you have some rock that easy from it I'd try that too.

One of mine years ago actually responded to food with garlic.
Not the food he ate , but with the other fish food for the rest of the tank. I just squeezed a fresh clove on it.

Then just the standard stuff , feeding , low lights , places to hide.

If you've already wormed her , it's about all you can do I think. I belive that's actually a bit hard on them as well.

I can't make out how her sides look in the pic. It doesn't look withdrawn. Is that correct?

But her colors look odd, also correct?

Edit prazzi is mostly for external parasites and woms.
I belive you need metro.
But you do need a fish that's eating.

Okay, so I can go ahead and add carbon to main tank to get rid of prazi? I just moved her to the QT a few hours ago. The water has been up and going for several months with me ghost feeding a couple times a week. No ammonia. There is no rock in my dt to move and the display refugium is battling dinos. Some of the rubble has been in that qt tank. I just added one more pc of dry. I can dump in a couple cups of dt water tonight and more tomorrow but don't want to overdo.

I did add garlic drops to the water and some selcon. She has some rocks she can cozy up too but no pvc or other hiding places as then I can't target feed her. Usually that tank has various decorations to fit whatever fish in there. even took out the fake plants. She only had 3 days of prazi. Is that enough? I think her color is okay. Should I try adding metro to the food. I have metro and focus

I would slow down.
You're on the right track , but the fish will be stressed.
Theryre like cats. They do what they want.

So get her comfortable in the new home first.

The live rock and water in the treatment tank (qt) is just for comfort and smell. Plus the rock will cycle the ammoina.

It may not be a worm or a bug. But give it a bit of time. Mainly the stress level of a move is a concern.

The prazi again doesn't treat intestinal worms well. I don't know off hand how a scaless fish handles it. Or how it effects feeding.

So a warm dark comfy place and she should be fine , and then observe in the morning.
Hopefull shell eat and with luck you'll see some poop. And then you can go from there.

Will do a wait and see and offer foods. She was so listless I'm not sure she can be saved. If she didn't like the meds, then the new tank should be better. I hate losing fish. and I'll watch for poop.... what a life....
