Mandarin's mouth swollen

Anyone have any idea what this could be? We woke up and noticed the mouth on our Mandarin is swollen up and red. Appears to still be actively hunting pods and eating.

Wow - I've never seen that. Fish sometimes bump into invertebrates that injure them. That this came on overnight indicates some event like that triggered this (as opposed to a disease that would develop over time). Bristleworms will leave little spikes sticking out. What corals do you have in the tank?

That it is still eating means the issue is probably superficial.
