Mandating sensitive to light?

When I have my light on, my mandarin kinda just floats at the top, but is normal when there is no light. This is his 2nd day in the tank. Lights currently only blue at lowest intensity. What do I do?

I've never kept a mandarin, but that sounds serious. Is he just hanging around near the surface, or literally floating? You say he acts normally when the lights are out? Is he eating?

I just got a mandarin also. Mine has stayed on the bottom the entire time looking for pods. Is yours trying to eat? Mine spends all of his time hunting
