Manganese?

I have a 60 gallon tank and got results back from ATI:

My Manganese is low and Iodine they say to

• Mangan supplement per day 1.25 ml for 1 day
• Iod (100 ml Flasche/bottle) supplement per day 0.46 ml for 2 days

What does that mean? I only supplement once? Also Manganese there is a diy solution correct? Thanks

Manganese and iodine are always low in our systems. I dose both daily to my systems.

Tank is still running this system. I do a few water changes a year as precaution now. You get a feel for it after every ICP test. I've noticed it's mostly fine if you just keep everything above zero, just to not limit growth ot color.

Do you make your own Manganese?

No. I use Reef Moonshiner manganese and follow their daily recommendation. I use Seachem Reef Iodide and dose 8 drops a day

Manganese depletes rapidly. Just a little macroalgae can use up all the manganese in short order.

Im less convinced iodine has any benefit, but it is easy to dose.
