I like to have my roots in the sand or against a rock but doing it like that should be fine. They don't need much light so you don't have to have it right under your fixture. All you really need to do is mist the leaves often and it'll be fine!

Thank you!!! I was told it should start sprouting in a week? I turned up the red on my lights will that help it?

I actually keep mine under an $8 white 6500k led bulb from home depot, no reds at all (but you may be onto something since red is typically used for plants)

I believe the red will grow more algae (plants) in your tank so I would probably turn it back down

Sorry I couldn't tell you, I've never been into any type of bottled treatments
Me neither, first time as a last Hope sitch. Hopefully someone else can help me out with that one. Thanks for the other info though! It’ll be okay like this in the long run?

Yes and no. It'll be fine but it is a tree so as it grows you'll have to lower it since it'll grow up past your light

Yeah I kinda figured that, I’ve got a lot of windows in this room so I’m thinking I’ll just open those and allow it to use natural sunlight until it’s tall enough to lower more. I’ve also got a blue tuna fuge light so I might just stick it in a sump with that until it’s a little taller in the roots. Thanks for all your help!!!
