Mangrove in overflow

Hey all quick question what you all think of putting a mangrove tree into the overflow? I think it'll be kinda cool

As long as it gets light and a place to take root I think it might work.

I've never had them would the light from the tank be enough?

Yes, when they are small. But they can grow very tall. You’ll want to consider how you might light it when it several feet out of the water. I have seen people use natural sunlight if their tank is near a window. Or use a supplement spotlight like a kessil. Or just start over when they grow a bit.
