Mangrove & Macro tank

Hello All!

After a recent fall out with my tank after losing almost £2000 worth of corals, I am thinking about changing my tank from a mixed reef to a macro & mangrove tank with a few softies,

Will I need to completely start from scratch? Or can I just start from where I am? My sandbed is about 2 inches deep all around, though I could pile it into a corner, or even implement another bag.

Any tips would be great
