Hey guys so I've got a handful of red mangroves in my sump, they've been in there for about a year and are growing fine.

My 6yr old has a new fascination with potted plants and she wants to know if one of my trees could be planted in a pot outside (I live in western Washington btw).

I know mangroves can live in dirt but am not sure about how to acclimate them since they're used to Saltwater. Anybody have any experience with this??

No experience with trying that, but looks like there's a ton of info if you Google "mangroves in a pot."

Interesting, I thought they could be planted in potting soil but those articles mention mangrove mud and aquarium gravel with water. Thanks for the links
