Mangroves in my nano

becaude I use HOBs instead of pumps, I usually run nothing in them besides carbon, I got the crazy Idea to add mangroves, I’ve done this before but all died from salinity shock, these two are doing just fine. Which makes me a bit Nervous, I know how much these guys like their magnesium, I even have to dose it! I also have a refugium, the nutrient export may seem overkill, but when you have no skimmer it’s hard to remove all the nutrients that get into a small system without overdoing it. Not too concerned about size. I’ve seen mangrove bonsais out there but it’s something I’ll need to look into in the foreseeable future.

For the mangroves I use a 5000k ecosmart LED, for the tank itself I use a KINGBO full spectrum led fixture
