Mangroves under Red/Blue lights

Will mangroves grow under the red/blue leds? I stuck the light off an old refugium on my mangroves. Will it work or do I need to get white lights for them?

That will work, but a full spectrum light is recommended for Julian Sprung. His success with mangroves is amazing.

They will do better with more PAR. Mangroves grow in tropical areas that get lots of full sunlight year-round. I bought a 36w full spectrum LED grow light bulb on Amazon for $40 that I'm hoping will work well for mine. The brand is Sansi if you want to look it up.
