Hey guys my 90g upgrade has been running for about a month now. I had a question about running a Manifold off of my return pump to run a reactor if necessary. Currently on have a mag 7 return with soft tubing with no valves running straight up to the returns. If I build a Manifold off of that to run some slow flow through a reactor/s for gfo and or carbon. It would just change the turnover of my sump correct? Or would my tank be draining faster than the pump could pump if I was taking away head pressure of the reactor. Any advise is appreciated. Thanks for reading!

Im going to follow this. I have seen some sums built this way and was confused considering the return is after the reactors. It would recycle a portion of the treated water if you just keep pumping in the water from the rerun. My 2 cents. Seams the pump for the reactor should come from a chamber before the return and filter into the tank with the return.

I've seen them run off the return pump and pump back into the return section. Just not clear on if my tank will drain faster than my return pump can handle due to loosing some head pressure or if it will just slow my turnover rate down in my sump.

I have thought about up sizing the pump to my skimmer and setting up a manifold for the reactors with the skimmer. This would eliminate the extra pump and keep the water treated all the way through the sump to return. The only problem is all the bubbles as i dont know how that would effect the reactor or if it would even work.. crap now i need more coffee.
